BATES, LITTLE
I'm looking for information on William Platt BATES who was born in
England in 1836. He was in the 1865 Census of Glencoe, MN. He married
Cynthia S. LITTLE in Jan. 1867. His brother Joseph William BATES also was
in the 1865 Census and married Mary ?. I want to know if anyone knows
anything about the BATES brothers or Cynthia LITTLE Family. I think
Cynthia S. LITTLE was from Helen Township. Does anyone know the William
and Cynthia's Childrens names. Also, I understand that Joseph also was
a hotel keeper and owned or ran a House called the Bates Hotel or Bates
house. Do you know anything about that. Also, who were the early
settlers of Glencoe? Does anyone know who the parents names were for Joseph
and WIlliam? I believe they are brothers.

CARLSON, KARIN, CARON, HEGG
I am grasping at straws
I am researching a Hanna(h) J HEGG b: Jan 17 1876 in Winsted Minnesota
d: Jan 19 1966 in Hennipen Cnty Mn.
Her maiden name was Hanna(h) CARLSON on her death certificate her

name or maiden name and there is no fathers name listed..
Does anyone have a CARON(S)/KARIN(S) that married a CARLSON and either

Hannah supposidly had a brother named ALBERT CARLSON who never married.
I have no dates on Albert to search that way.Albert did live for a time

Hess, but I have not been able to get any information on him or Hanna(h)

COMER, DRAKE, MYERS
I'm looking for information on William Henry Drake who I believe was
married to Maranda Cornelia COMER (daughter of John Comer & Deborah
Wooley) in 1901.
The William Henry DRAKED I'm looking for was the birth-father of my
great-grandmother, Bertha Elnora MYERS (01-24-1890). She was born to
Carrie Mable MYERS of Morrison County, MN; while Mr. DRAKED was married
to a woman named Clara Estella (They were married in McLeod County in
1875; divorced in 1900 in Morrison County, MN). Thus, we're the unclaimed family!!!
According to my Grandmother, Mr. DRAKED lived in Oregon or Washington
State in the 1910's-early 1920's, as her parents took their children out
there to visit him. She believed he died in February 1936.
I did find a Wm Drake who died 02-18-1936 in Benton County, OR and it has "Nelia"
listed as his spouse. I do believe this would be "Cornelia". I sent today for his death cert.
Sure hope it's the same William & Nelia.
If any of this helps you, or if you have any information to share with
me, that would be wonderful!

PARSON
Trying to find my ggg grandfather Mathias PARSON and his wife Jemima.
Minnesota Census 1870 McLeod County Hale Twp lists the name, but no
image available online...so not entirely sure this is the right Mathias. He
appeared in 1860 census for Winnebago Co, Wisconsin - I've seen that
image and it's the right family...but they drop out of sight after that
except for this Minnesota index listing. Mathias would be 74 in 1970,
his wife would be 64...and though the name list appears correct, there
are additional names I was not expecting (Mathias' brother may have moved
with him..unsure) - so I really need to know the ages and relationships
from that census. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

CHRISTENSEN
Hello,
I am investigating my Grandmother who was adopted. Her birth name was Caroline CHRISTENSEN. She was born in August 1890 and it is been said that it may have been in Hutchinson, Minnesota. I had also heard Winthrop, Minnesota The funny thing is I was at a family reunion this weekend and different older family members were discussing her birth name. We had always believed it was CHRISTIANSEN but two older relatives differed on the name. One said she was positive it was Jensen or Janson and one said Christiansen. That is why your inquiry intrigued me. I am not sure how old she was when she was adopted but she does not remember her birth mother or parents. She was adopted by August and Mary Voss of Waseca Minnesota. Could any of the Christiansen?s or Jensen?s have had a baby named Caroline in 1890? I would love to hear from you.

EID/ WALLER
Would like to locate information about Edward C. and Jessie O. [nee
Waller] EID. Their parents names are unknown but they [parents] were born
in Norway. They lived in Denver, Colorado in April 1910. Edward is
listed as a "clergyman" in the 1910 US Census. They were natives of
Minnesota and Wisconsin respentively. I believe some of their children,
including their son, Edward Waller EID, were born in Denver. Others, Wendell,
Arnold, Luther and Solvia [sic] were born in Minnesota but I don't know
where. The family lived in Boyd Village, Ten Mile Twp., Lac Qui Parle
Co., MN in the January 1920 US Census. And Edward C. was still a
minisiter.
I have been unable to find this family in the 1930 US Census. I believe
the family moved around a lot. Jessie O. [Waller] EID's last known
residence in the SSDI was McLeod County, MN.
I welcome any hints. Am happy to share information on descendants of
Edward Waller EID.

IVES
IVES Seeking information regarding my gg grandfather Governour Kimball IVES (aka G.K. or K.G ) and family. He enlisted in the Minnesota 9th company H formed in Carver County part of the regiment formed in Glencoe and Hutchinson. He resided in both McLeod Co and Carver Co. In 1866, in Hutchinson, he married Mary Etta Neil Reese, the widow of William Stanley Reese also from Glencoe/Hutchinson who also served in the 9th company H and died in Confederate prison camp in Florence SC. Both Ives and Reese were captured at Guntown, Miss and transferred to Andersonville Prison. She was the daughter of James Neil, one of the oldest men in McLeod Co to enlist at age 66 in 1861. Her sister Susanna or Susan was married to McLeod farmer Sylvanus Wakefield, who also enlisted in the Minnesota 4th and may have died in 1863. While the Wakefields and Neil appear in McLeod records, no mention is made of Ives in Minnesota until he appears in the old soldiers? home in Minneapolis, where he resided until his death in 1921 and burial in the GAR section of Lakewood Cemetery. The family bible lists many events (marriages, births and deaths) in Hutchinson, Glencoe and Young America but I can find no supporting evidence so far. Any suggestions? Also does anyone know of any photos of the Minnesota fourth and ninth regiments? I have seen various group pictures of other regiments; especially the Minnesota 1st but none of the ninth.

DEDIC
My maternal great grandfather, Josef DEDIC (born in Limikov, Bohemia)
on June 29, 1858. (I don't know who his parents or siblings are but
would like to locate that information), He and his wife (Anna Pocednik
DEDIC) and family moved to America in 1907 and settled in Foley. MN.
I know that there were some Dedics that settled in McLeod Country many
years before my great grandparents arrived and I am wondering if they
are from the same family. I believe those who settled in Silver Lake
were Joseph, Frank and Frank Jr. and their families.
I would appreciate any help that could be offered regarding those
families and if they are connected with my grandparents. Are any of these
DEDICs related to Prant and Katerina (Dobias) DEDIC from Pavlovice,
Bohemia? Thank you!

DRESSEL
I am trying to find information about Peter and Pauline (DRESSEL)
MEYER, who I believe lived much of their lives in the Hutchinson area. I
have Peter as immigrating to the US about 1876 and living in the Glencoe
and Bird Island areas. He could have been a farm hand on the John
WESELOH farm, according to the 1880 census. He married Pauline Dressel in
1886 and they had nine children. I believe Pauline's parents to be
Henry (Henrik) and Fredericka DRESSEL. The 1880 census shows them in
living in the Waconia area. Pauline had siblings Ernst and Hulda, who I
believe still have descendants in the Hutchinson area. Peter had known
brothers named Herman and Henry and known sister named Minnie. Peter
died in 1945, Pauline died in 1943. ANY information would be most
appreciated. Thank you so much in advance!!

Alfer Alvina died, Peter disappeared. The kids could not run the farm so it was either sold or ented out and they lived in a shack on the
